Protests § 219a & § 218

After years of controversy and criticism from gynaecologists, who were sued because they informed their patients about the different methods of abortion, Germany scrapped a Nazi-era law that limits information on abortion. While access to the procedure in the country remains difficult in certain areas, abortion is not actually legal in Germany, as is stipulated by Paragraph 218 of the German Penal Code.

This is a selection of photographs between 2018 – 2021, following the initiative „Bündnis für sexuelle Selbstbestimmung“ (Alliance for Sexual Self Determination) during their many creative events and actions.
